The Wio-E5-LE mini provides access to all GPIOs of the Wio-E5-LE, including UART, ADC, SPI, I2C, and more. It contains reset and boot buttons for ease of use. Supporting LoRa protocol, the Wio-E5-LE mini enables ultra-long-range transmission up to 10km and ultra-low power consumption - the sleep current of the on-board Wio-E5-LE module is as low as 2.1uA (WOR mode).
Beyond the Wio-E5-LE mini, we also offer the Wio-E5-LE Dev Kit with more complex interfaces and capabilities to unlock the Wio-E5-LE module's full potential. It provides a wide range of access protocols and abundant interface types, enabling rapid testing and prototyping with RS-485, Grove interfaces, and plentiful GPIOs.
Additionally, the Wio-E5-LE module has already been certified, allowing your finished devices to be certified and approved rapidly and cost-effectively.
Since Wio-E5-LE is a Long Range chip with an MCU, there are three main ways to utilize the Wio-E5-LE mini:
- Connect Wio-E5-LE mini to PC and control it using AT commands
There is a built-in USB to UART function on board, you could connect the Wio-E5-LE mini to your PC with a USB type C cable, and use serial communication software to send AT commands and read data from the board.
- Connect Wio-E5-LE mini to another mainboard via UART and control it using AT commands sent through the UART connection
For example, connect Wio-E5-LE mini to Seeed Studio XIAO and the Expansion Board via UART, and send AT commands and read data from Seeed Studio XIAO through Arduino IDE serial monitor.
- User Application Development by using SDK
