본 제품은 시리얼 LCD로 하나의 보드에 16x2 LCD와 PIC16F88, 관련 회로가 탑재되어 있는 제품입니다.
보드상의 PIC 마이크로컨트롤러는 TTL 시리얼 입력을 받아 LCD에 문자로 출력하여 줍니다.
MCU에 심겨진 펌웨어는 많은 특별한 명령들을 제공하여 화면지우기, 백라이트 밝기 제어, 디스플레이 on/off 등 여러 기능을 제공합니다.
LCD와의 통신은 5V TTL 시리얼(9600bps, 8-N-1)이 필요합니다. 보오드 레이트는 2400에서 38400bps사이에서 조절이 가능합니다.
파워(VDD), GND(GND), RX핀은 0.1인치 헤더패드와 3핀 JST 커넥터로 접근이 가능합니다.
LCD는 필요하다면 전원을 절약하기 위해 백라이트를 디밍할 수 있으며, 또 포텐셔미터가 있어 명암을 조절할 수 있습니다.
