The Arduino UNO Rev4 Minima is a novel UNO board that boasts a 32-bit microcontroller, rendering it the first of its kind. The board is equipped with a Renesas RA4M1 series microcontroller, which incorporates a 48MHz Arm® Cortex®-M4 microprocessor. Compared to its predecessors, the UNO Rev4 presents expanded memory capacity, with 256 kB flash, 32 kB SRAM, and 8 kB data memory (EEPROM).
It operates at a voltage of 5V, rendering it compatible with UNO form factor accessories that operate at the same voltage. It is powered by a recommended input voltage of 6-24V, and it comes with Schottky diodes for overvoltage and reverses polarity protection. While shields intended for earlier UNO revisions can be used with this board safely, they are not warranted to be software compatible due to the microcontroller change.
The boards also include a range of peripherals, such as a Capacitive Touch Sensing Unit (CTSU), a USB 2.0 Full-Speed Module (USBFS), and up to 14-bit ADC. It also includes several communication interfaces, such as 1x UART, 1x SPI, 1x I²C, and 1x CAN. Additionally, the board features a Digital Analog Converter (DAC), which is used to convert digital signals to analog signals, allowing for accurate control of various components.
